Taiev is an ancient Kaldorei, with a
charisma and elegance in keeping with her age. While she can
be both witty even impish, she carries herself with the cold
precision and ancient elegance of a statue of ice and moonlight.
She is coldly compelling, rather than truly beautiful.
When she speaks
of her past, its often of the Third War, and the desperate
defence of the World Tree. Badly injured during Archimonde's
final assault, Taiev has spent much time since trying to come
to terms with her place in the world.
The Old Forest
Taiev is truly ancient, even for a Kaldorei.
She does not appear in the Kaldorei histories, and if she
played any role in the catastrophic events of the Sundering
and the War of the Ancients, only she knows.
The Third War
With the return of the Burning Legion,
Taiev heeded the Call to Arms and went to war, fighting valiantly
in scores of brutal but ultimately insignificant skirmishes
under the trees of her beloved Kalimdor. As the Burning Legion
closed in, she stood with her Sisters in defence of Mount
Hyjal, trying desperately to halt Archimonde's assault.
After Hyjal
Unlike most of her kin, Taiev knew that
the phyrric victory at Hyjal was little more than a brief
respite. The Legion would not be so easily defied. Hoping
to find strong leadership and a vision for the future she
travelled to Teldrassil. But before long, the darkness crept
back amongst the trees, and the Cenarion turned upon itself.
Disgusted, Taiev left the imperfect sanctuary of Teldrassil
behind.
Rumours of Dark Things
Even as she joined the Silvereye and
rose to leadership within the Circle, dire rumour swirled
about her. Though she earned a measure of trust, it was clear
that few had faith that she would be strong enough of will
and purpose to avoid the pitfalls that had swallowed the Highbourne
Proudly upon a Sinister Path
And yet, somehow, Taiev has remained
upon the path, combining bitter reason with an icy compassion
and willingness to stand with any with purity of achievement,
regardless of the darkness of their heart. Merging
her utter confidence in victory with an icy charisma and a
willingness to wield any weapon, Taiev is the ultimate radical
- inhumanly determined and seeking the decisive advantage
that will arm her people for victory in the inevitable conflict. |
