Venture Report: 28th day of Yul'Baelo
Destination: Scholomance Library, first room after initial bridge.
Objective: Search for proof, clues, or mentioning of certain artifacts within the books of the Scholomance Library.
Details: The details and names of the artifacts has been put to my discression by the Keeper after the initial mention. I refer to them as 'artifacts'.

After having brought the possible existance some artifacts to the Keeper's attention some months ago, she urged me to find out more, to prove or dismiss the reality of these artifacts.

Having studied long within the library of Ironforge, dodging flattering (and not so flattering) words from the dwarven librarians, I found little-to-no mention of these artifacts within their books. I assume the stories told of them are too old or no longer good enough for our popular culture to carry the legends, stories, or fairy tales of these artifacts. I say 'popular culture', as they were told to me by my father, and that their reality has gone beyond legends, and travelled into disbelief and thought of as something out of a fairy tale.

Our trip began with a meeting at the dwarven stronghold of Aerie Peak, letters were sent out by me to specific members of the Circle whom I had before spoken of this, and who seemed available for such a task. I was joined by Taiev, Nasheen, and Laythe.

After telling where and very little of why I needed help getting to the library, we left Aerie Peak through the ravine to the north and it wasn't long before we had reached the old place of teachings.

Although the threat of the place has not subdued any, we easily forced our way inside. I personally attempted to question the Blood Steward in a foul demonic tongue for information, but with nothing but mockery coming out of her blood-gushing mouth, we put her down.

I gave with trust the name of the two artifacts in question, and asked my comrades to search the books for any mention of them. We searched long within the dust and rot of the books. Laythe retired to a corner after watching out for our safety, bravely, for hours to no end. Nasheen also eventually left after a good, long search, thus leaving me and the Keeper alone in our search.

We continued to search for hours with no luck. After a minor brainstorming, we realized that what we were looking for may very well be written in scrolls, as it were used before the making of actual books. With some struggle we managed to break into one of the older sections and retrieve a cache of scrolls that seemed to have been hidden, perhaps prior to the degeneration of Scholomance.

The scrolls are currently in my keeping, awaiting nearer study.

Further research will certaintly be required, and a request for an expedition to Dire Maul and the Scarlet Cathedral of Stratholme will be forwarded to the Keeper.

Taiev read the report, nodding to herself as she did. Many of the scrolls were old indeed, and some of them might well predate the blasphemous madness that had engulfed the ancestral Barov home. Perhaps words of the artefacts might indeed be found there.

And perhaps the artefacts might prove unsullied and useful in Her service. But she had the feeling that this path would not end here, or easily...
