“What is the Scarecrow’s Night, you ask me? It’s like a slightly burnt cookie - ugly, dark and questionable from the outside, but soft and warm from the inside. That’s all the event is about.
People dress in mysterious outfits, and give themselves a theathratical role to act out during the night - like werewolf, rosedemon, knight of idiotic deaths and so on. But the event isn’t a gathering of a real cult of darkness - instead, under all that spooky stuff it’s a real kid party - jokes are tossed and childish games are played!
”But that’s so silly, to mock the death and all”, huh? Haha! Well of course. Laugh at what’s scary and it will go away. When I was a boy, I was told the concept of the event originates from the nomadic times of humankind as a means to embolden the heart in the face of overwhelming adversity. I don’t know what the event could have been called back then, but in our time it’s mostly known as the ‘Scarecrow’s Night’, which I think is quite fitting.
The event hasn’t been held for a few years now though, so it’s no wonder really you haven’t heard about it - I wonder who could be reviving it. Not that I mind though!”
