Well if nobody objects I'll elect myself Master of Ceremonies (interestingly an actually title you can hold in Britian) and place these in the calender as well as start to flesh them out?

Two ceremonies a month is probably not too many, if the actual content of the ceremony varies from time to time. For example, one might a Senintels of Dolanaar type "trawling" event, and the other might be a more sober meeting.

I think it is important to hold regular, or semi regular guild meetings, where we start with a ceremony followed by discussions and socialising. It might be a nice idea to match these to the "lunar cycles" or something similar.

On another note, I know I have been the great advocate of grace and elegance, but I think we should also consider the need for more gleeful and light hearted ceremonies and meetings - the idea of Goblin Base Jumping for example- It is a pity that WoW doesn´t support player musicians or similar, because that would be very elfy.

Here are some ideas:

- gift giving ceremonies (small items of some symbolic value - perhaps in Dolanaar or Darnassus)
- hunts (ceremonially hunting and the eating some animal, and celebrating its spirit - perhaps in the Barrens)
- moonrise celebrations (watching the moonrise and eating and drinking fine things - the twin collosals in Ferelas, for example)

Arerandul,

Do you happen to have Eryndel's speech or indeed the whole Silver Oath noted down somewhere? Does anyone else?

I'd like to try and collate them into one place if I can.

Thanks smile.gif

Hmm...alright, here you go, though the silver oath will require Taiev, as I have no idea what went on biggrin.gif

Eryndel's Ceremony
(Make sure you use emotes throughout for feeling)

We are gathered here as equals in this temple in celebration of this group's unity in the face of danger. May we continue on our paths and fulfill our destinies.

I shall now request something from you all, as Elune requested from our gracious High Priestess millenia ago, to show not only your faith in Her wisdom, but your humility, and your knowledge of equality and Balance in yourself and others.

Kaldorei, you are called before Elune to admit your sins without fear nor judgement from your peers, lest they be cast from her grace. Speak out with Her Blessing.

(One by one the silvereye and any watching /s something they are feeling guilty about IC, anything vaguely sinful. Those who are goody-goodies will simply admit to not having sinned)

Elune Adore, brethren, as you have shown your faith and wisdom this hour, may She guide your hand.

(Eryndel talks about some pieece of Elven Lore, I suggest Archimonde's defeat, linking it to a current event, i.e. our uniting as one against evil. If he chooses this moment, it should look something like this:)

Sisters, Brothers.(/smile) History has a habit of repeating itself. You may all remember the Burning Legion's most recent attempt on our world, when Archimonde himself came to defile our lands. Did we destroy him? No. Did we hold off his armies? No. (pauses)
We could not have done it alone, and we realised that. Only fools would think they were godly. We worked with others, we forgot any hatred for other races, and we worked together as one to rid this land of evil.

All that are gathered in her light are doing the same thing. Members of the silvereye, I urge you to continue on a path of unity, as then you may overcome the strongest of foes.

Let us pray, and recieve Her blessings of wisdom and hope in a dark time.

(Everyone in human shape, stands up, types /kneel and /pray)

Now arise, and tend to your duties. Be they the land (/me looks at the druids collected), or the people in it (/me looks at *whoever the romantic couple are. Look for holding hands and such...)

Elune be with you.
Ishnu Alah (peace be with you)

This was the original version anyway...

Events are starting to appear in the calender. I'd suggest you take a look for little hints to whet your appetites! smile.gif

Keep an eye out as more details appear.
