Celebration of the Hunt

"A huntress has to learn to live off the land, off the forests, and nature itself, the hunt has begun..."

This is just a small event to help people improve their cooking skill and such and generally sit round a fire munching on things chatting. The Hunters of the guild will keep the raw materials coming, every one else keeps the fires going and the food coming.

NO making it go gloomy or I get the paddles!

In order to get an idea of where we need to go, and what we need to hunt could any interested (either in hunting or in cooking) give me an idea of your skill levels?

As a hunter of the Silvereye I will attend, and participate in hunting the game we will need.

I would also appreciate the opportunity to learn more of the art and craft of cooking than I know - my ability extends only to spider kebabs and omelettes (admittedly curiously tasty ones).

I'll make the fire!

(( fire... burn.. burn, my darling.. ... ... um... ignore this line smile.gif ))

About cooking skill, I have finished the quest in Gadgetzan, so it should be above 225.. currently 240 or something, I think. I always forget to cook stuff smile.gif

As you will probably have guessed I will not participate in this. I will not hunt animals to increase my cooking skill.
That said, I am fairly good at cooking myself. I know that sounds like I am a hypocrite, but I've only used meat of the animals I had to kill.

Ofcourse I will not stop you, nor try to talk you out of it. I am confident you are all very capable hunters and you will not dsiturb the balance of nature.

May Elune be with you and keep you all safe

Your point is well taken, Kyndra.

However, perhaps I should mention that I have spoken with the Warden of this, and we plan to pass on any prepared food we do not need to charities, and to the needy.

Rest assured though, that we huntresses are as aware of the needs of nature as any druid - perhaps more so, since we are freed of the constraints of balance - and as any huntress will tell you, nature is red in tooth and claw, and the myth of a fair balance is just that... a myth.

Hmm, I don't know how to cook, but I do know how to hunt! So I will do my part in bringing in the raw materials.

Might I suggest Feralas as a possible place. The forrest there is beautiful, and the beaches are good for cooking fires. Our huntresses can bring in wolf meat from the wolves there, maybe even some mystery meat from the hyenas. There are also plenty of fishing opportunites. Fish like the glossy mightfish, rockscale cod, spotted yellowtail, summer bass, stonescale eel and winter squid inhabit the waters. We might even hunt our enemy the Nagas, since they often collect clam shells that can be made into tasty dishes...

I know nothing of cooking, but I can hunt some fish if you want. Or any animal you wish to make food of.

I can either hunt or cook. Probably not a lot I can learn in the latter though. It was probably the only thing I was good for and I can cook about anything including knowing how to prepare those strange fishes from the Barrens.

As Darjana mentioned Feralas is an excellent place to find the meat and fish, espically fish in all varieties can be found there aside from the ones she mentioned you can also catch the nightfin snappers as well as firefins and Oily blackmouths which some of our our alchemists might be able to use
