This is the post I knew I was going to make, at some point, and the one that I have been avoiding making for far too long, really.

Silvereye is, quite simply, passing on. Priorities have changed, members have moved on to other things both ingame and in other games. And now, finally, I have realised that the time has come to take the ultimate consequence of that.

So, when the Endgame event series is over, Silvereye will be going into hiatus, and I will be focussing myself on other things.

What does hiatus mean? Essentially it means that the guild will become inactive and there will be no more planned events.

I do not plan to disband the guild, since the future may bring a return to WoW. However, having spent three years on the guild I want to be the person who decides how it ends. A little selfish, but I think I can be permitted a little selfishness.

I have discussed this with the guild officers, and this is not up for discussion.

I hope to see as many of you for the two coming Endgame events. For old-times' sake, if nothing else.

It has been an honour, and a pleasure.

I don't know what to say. I kinda saw this coming, though I didn't expect it to happen so soon. I fully acknowledge that running an RP guild that remains active for so long must be a huge burden, and that alone is already a justifiable reason to step down. However, I can't resist wondering if you blame at least part of it on us, the guild members. That we are insufficiently active (I am somewhat guilty of that), that we don't contribute enough to the guild. I remember you expressing concerns about that before.

Is there anyone in the guild still willing to keep it alive? I wish it to be so very much, because I have no idea where my character would go if the guild dies. I would be even less willing to see former members spread out among PvE guilds.

Also, are you going to rush the Endgame event because of your decision?

The dark times will pass. We will persevere. Remember the Keeper.

It all went wrong after I left to be honest wink.gif

No, seriously, even though I left this all behind long ago, it'll be a shock to most oldies like me to hear that it's being laid to rest. SE's been there since the dawn of time... smile.gif

Hope that things work out for everyone.

sad.gif I hope it's been as great a ride as it has been for me for more than a year.
Dull as it may sound - a Silvereyed elf still has a place in my heart, along with the others he lived with. Good fortune on the road ahead! wub.gif

=( Bah, didn't even have the chance to see SE in its full glory. I respect your decision though, and I must say, the ride was fun, how short it even was for me. =)
We'll see what happens next although.
Good luck Tai! *Hugs*

you were all great, even the ones I fell out with, even the ones who didnt like me, even the ones who dragged themselves through every word of terrible prose I ever wrote and especially those that didnt.

Sent, Taiev, Acrona, you stand out for making me a genuinely better person.

Karhard, always nice to know im not the only man driving a keyboard drunk.

The officers, so much respect for you for doing what im godawful at.

Anyone who ever wrote on the fiction boards; well done, its harder than anyone lets on to check the forums and see no comments, one day im sure i'll manage to read everything.

Eryn, you annoyed me and make me grin and it was all good, you gave me more confidence than I knew I had, and thats not sentimental thing, its damn true, you're insane but I cant help but love you for it.

I'd happily buy any of you a pint.

And thanks to Jivan and Titan, side of me I never knew wink.gif
