Hullo circle.

This is something i had hoped to do even before i joined the circle. but now i am here I can use it as part of my paths.

I have been curious about the rather overlooked feathermoon stronghold.

Having read the war of the ancients trilogy i have always been intrigued to know what happened to shandris feathermoon between then and now. How she got to be that high up in the sentinels. Why she is based out in feralas, how the sentinels came to be, what it means to be one, and maybe even what her relationship with tyrande is these days.

If anyone could help me out in finding out the answers to these questions i would be very grateful.

Sadly, the events surrounding Shandris during the Long Vigil remain a mystery, as it does with many other important nelf characters Not even her wiki entry gives a lot of info on it.

As for the establishment of the Sentinel army, Blizz was kind enough to provide us with some nice information

At my best guess, and while not established fact ( I would advise you go to the World of Warcraft RP forums and find a poster who's name I forget, but is said to be in contact with Metzen himself, and answers many Lore questions), I would say that Shandris, while a child in the War of the Ancients, was placed at the head of the Sentinel army, or high up in its ranks, at its formation. Given her skill with a bow, and her continuing relationship with Tyrande (as seen in Warcraft 3), I would say that she likely chose Sardor Isle to place Feathermoon on due to it's distance from civilisation, as well as the strategically important loaction from which you can reach most of Kalimdor, (or, at least, the Kaldorei held parts) very easily.

curses. a search of the forums only has the stronghold mentioned once and thats a for a lvl 1 gnome race >.<
