Welcome to the Silvereye! This post describes the most important things you need to know, as well as some of the things you can expect (and be expected to do)

What is Silvereye?
Silvereye is an RP guild centred around the theme of the "Arrogant and Perfect Kaldorei standing watch over the Goddess' World". A certain amount of IC arrogance is to be expected. The events we run and the RP we do will generally focuss on this central theme, and you will be expected to participate in this discourse.

What to expect from the Guild
Silvereye is a cooperative effort. We try to gather people together who all want to participate and create and add to the experience for the other members. This is not a guild that will "entertain you" when you are "booooored". Its a guild where you will have far more fun if you get involved.

What we expect of you
We expect you to participate in events, and to exercise your judgement about how you treat other people on an OOC level. We expect you to act in a mature manner generally. This does not mean no fooling around - we have lots of that, and it is what makes the guild what it is. It means that when you have issues, problems or concerns, that you deal with them in an adult fashion.

Above all, we expect you to be part of the guild that is the "arrogant haughty nightelf" brand.

About the Forums
The forums are really the core of what we do. Events are posted here, ideas discussed and all of the community building takes place here. You are expected to keep an eye on the forums, and watch for upcoming events. An event posted in the Calendar or the Event and Storylines area should be considered to be an IC call sent to your character by courier owl, letter or whisper on the wind. This is the place to get involved, and participate.

Upcoming events are also listed in the Message of the Day ingame.

About Role Playing
We expect all Silvereye members to refrain from power-emoting, as well as to be carefully aware of the OOC impact of the things they do.

/g is... full of... mad people
That it is. Its part of the charm. It is also part of how we get to know each other. However, remember that if you feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable at any time, please contact an officer, or talk to the person in question in a mature and friendly way. We set a lot of store in keeping the tone in /g as fun and friendly as possible.

To make things worse, we also have the /SEcommunity ingame channel, which is where we often hang out if we are playing alts. Its about keeping the "family" in touch.

The Silvereye IRC channel
We run an irc channel called #Silvereye-circle, which you can find on Quakenet, or you can access it via our snazzy java client, which is here. People are generally here during the day, and sometimes during the evenings. Please use your ingame character name.

Initial things to Do
Take the time to have a look at the forums - there is a lot so try not to let it intimidate you. While you are there, take the time to fill out this character event profile which we will use when planning events. Once filled out, please PM it to Gilthas, Taiev Darjana or Lillyandra.

You should also expect to be assigned one or more tasks by other guild members during the first month. This is a way to get to know you, and for you to get to know them.

Also, the Silvereye follows four "paths" - the Wild, the Hunt, the Moon and the Path of War. Your character may be asked some questions about which of these ideologies she wishes to follow. Take a look at the website under Paths of the Silvereye for more

Is that it?
Oh heavens, no! Take a look at the Silvereye Wiki, here
