Keeper Taiev,

after getting your letter, with part of the poem, I've thought really hard on what it might point to.

Then I remembered: I talked with a druid one time, in the corner of Ashenvale which is called Forest Song.

I explored this area, and closeby I spotted a big tree, still far away, and some ramp leading to it. It was guarded by some green-scaled Dragonkin, however, and they looked pretty dangerous, so I didn't dare to approach it through the valley.

I searched the rocky hills to the south, and with some trouble I managed to find a place to climb over them. I carefully walked closer, and I spotted more patrols roaming the area.

Suddenly, a real dragon appeared into view, much bigger than the whelps I've encountered in the Redridge Mountains and the Wetlands.

Waiting for both the patrols and the dragon to move away, I crept closer to the ramp leading up to the tree, and watched another dragon hovering in place, and guarding the portal.

I quickly ran back to the hills, hoping non of the creatures had spotted me. I watched the flying dragon fly past once more, and decided this should be enough for now.

I searched the area for ores and creatures. I found little more than some huge spiders, one of which came after me. I have removed one of its legs, perhaps this could be the item you asked about?

When I came back out from there, I talked with the druid who had his camp in Forest Song. He told me the area around the Portal is called Bough Shadow.

I hope this information is enough.

May Elune shine Her silver light on your pathways.

Sister,

Thank you for your report. Word of the presence of such a creature is disturbing, especially in light of the texts we have translated.

We will discuss this in more detail as the time of the ritual approaches.

I remain,

- a runic T-
