Darjana Stargazer

Working on it! The old description will have to do for now.

-Darj

The delicate features of this young night elf are almost more reminiscent to that of a girl than a young woman. Her soft skin shines with an almost pinkish hue, and her long green hair is woven into a playful braid. Her eyes portray a curious nature, bright and silvery they seem to flicker around constantly, never resting too long in any one spot. Her flowing and graceful movements reflects a traditional elven upbringing, yet at times she forgets herself and her young age shines through in the way she acts and carries herself.

A protected childhood

Darjana's childhood was a happy and carefree one. She grew up with her mother and father in the forests surrounding the small village of Auberdine. Her mother taught her respect for nature and the need for balance and her father taught her the art of handling a bow. It was a simple and quiet life, and so the story would have ended were it not for the plans of the Burning Legion...

A shattered family

With the arrival of the Burning Legion, Darjana's father followed the call to arms and left to defend the Kaldorei lands. Spurred on by countless stories of heroes and heroines Darjana wanted to come along and show her bravery and skill with the bow, but much to her disappointment she was sent off to safety somewhere far behind the frontlines. The victory at mount Hyjal was however a hollow one for Darjana as her father was among the many that did not return from the front lines.

A second tragedy

Darjana's sheltered world was falling apart. Her mother suffered as well but tried to hide it as best she could. As a druid of some renown she was asked to assist in the construction of the new world tree, she could not refuse and when construction began she moved to Teldrassil with Darjana to lend whatever aid she could. As it became apparent that there was corruption in the new world tree, she worked more and more fervently to find the cause and a cure. Not knowing how to comfort or help her mother, Darjana took up the path of the hunter after her father in order to support them both. Then, tragedy struck again for Darjana. Her mother, heartbroken from the loss of her beloved and driven to exhaustion fighting the corruption in Teldrassil, was gravely injured by corrupted furbolgs. Her strength failed and she died in bed a few days later with Darjana at her side.

Alone

Heartbroken and all alone in the world, Darjana vowed to do everything in her power to cleanse the world of the corruption of the Burning Legion which had claimed both of those she held dearest. Her upbringing had made her a caring person, so she buried her sorrow and for a long time she traveled the Kaldorei lands lending her aid against corruption wherever she could. Having spent most of her childhood alone with her mother and father she found herself at peace traveling the large forests by herself. However, the loss of her parents was always close, gnawing away at her.

Across the Sea

During her travels she made contact with the new races calling themselves allies of the Kaldorei. Although she was skeptical at first her curios nature won and she befriended both, humans, gnomes and dwarves. Hearing fantastic tales about the strange lands across the sea she eventually booked passage on a seagoing vessel that would take her to these faraway lands. This proved to be yet another turning point in her life. In the strange lands she was taken in by a small group that shared her love for nature and the bow. After some time she learned to trust them enough to open up and share her story. Although painful at first, she eventually learned to cope with her loss. From the younger races she also learned what the Kaldorei could never teach her: What life would be like without immortality.

The Curious Huntress

Eventually, the small group of rangers that Darjana had been a part of went their separate ways. Darjana continued to travel the lands lending aid to people who needed it. Having learned to accept her past, she now travelled with a light heart. Her curiosity, which had never faded, often got her into some sticky situations but she was always able to bounce out of it again due to her high spirits and unwavering optimism. However, one night an incident brought her into contact with the circle of the Silvereye. It is unclear what happened that fateful night, but one thing is certain: Darjana has been under the circle's protection ever since.
